大学合唱团

Composed of UE's finest vocal talent, the 大学合唱团 has built a reputation for performances of a wide range of choral music from various eras. In 2016, the choir performed by invitation for the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Conference in Chicago. Receiving an invitation to perform at an ACDA Conference is among the highest honors and American choir can receive. The 大学合唱团 has also performed at 卡内基音乐厅 in New York City in both 2011 and in 2016. 2013年1月, the 大学合唱团 was invited to perform at the Indiana Music Educators Association (IMEA) State Convention in Fort Wayne. This was the choir's second appearance in recent years at IMEA having also been invited to perform at the convention in 2010 in Indianapolis. The choir has had the privilege to perform in a master class with the world renowned vocal sextet, The King's Singers and has worked with Matthew Oltman, Music Director Emeritus of the equally renowned ensemble Chanticleer. Membership in the choir includes both music majors and non-music majors. 入学 into the choir is by audition.

Kantorei

每年, twelve students are selected from the choral program to perform in the university's smallest and most select choral ensemble, 的Kantorei. This highly-select ensemble's repertoire includes both Renaissance works as well as demanding twentieth century works. Recent performances have included Holst's Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda本杰明·布里顿的 颂歌的仪式和普伦克的 Litanies à la vierge noire.

The UE 合唱 is open to both men and women from across campus who have an interest in singing a variety of choral music for mixed voices (soprano, 中音, 男高音, 和低音.) In addition to performing independently the choir also combines with both the 大学合唱团 and the 女性的合唱 for large scale performances including the annual Holiday Pops Concert.

女性的合唱

Distinguishing itself as the largest choir at the University of Evansville, the 女性的合唱 presents a choral concert each semester and participates in the annual Holiday Pops Concert. The choir performs both as an independent ensemble and also in combined performances with the 大学合唱团, 男子合唱团, and the University Symphony Orchestra. Students from all across the campus join the 女性的合唱 each year making for an energetic mix of both music majors and non-music majors.
