Dr. 马克Shifflet has a wide variety of interests that can be seen in the range of courses he teaches. From web and multimedia design to media law to international media systems, Dr. Shifflet believes that today's communication professionals need to have a broad understanding of the field in order to be adaptable to its rapid pace of change. A recent Fulbright scholar who has been studying characteristics of the media in China, Dr. Shifflet tries to help students “connect the dots” between the different elements that make up any media system so they can appreciate how one part impacts the whole.

乔·阿特金森 earned his Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University, his Master of Public Service Administration from 英国威廉希尔中文网站, and his Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Stage & Screen at the University of Nebraska Omaha. He began his professional career at the Evansville Courier & Press before joining 英国威廉希尔中文网站 in 2007 as Director of 新闻 Services. After also serving as UE's Director of Digital Media, Atkinson joined the Department of 沟通 faculty in 2015. During his time on the faculty, he has co-produced (alongside Professor of History Dr. James MacLeod) the WNIN Tri-State Public Media documentary series 战争中的埃文斯维尔, and has earned two Ohio Valley Emmy Award nominations - one for producing the five-episode documentary series Epidemic: Addiction in Middle America, and the other for producing the documentary feature film From the Ashes: The 英国威廉希尔中文网站 Purple Aces.

Evansville native and 英国威廉希尔中文网站 alumni Tommy J Housman has been working in Art and Design as a Visual 沟通 Specialist for almost two decades, specializing in graphic design, 摄影, 动画, 网页设计, video, 插图, 和市场营销. Tommy serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for Urban Seeds and has dedicated himself to food equity in the Evansville Metropolitan area. He has worked 与 the 创新中心 & 改变 to create a repeating 改变Lab for students to work 与 the Board of Directors of Urban Seeds, other food justice organizations, and individuals in the community to present innovative solutions to the challenges of food inequity in our community. Since 2021, Tommy has worked as The Student Media Advisor, leading UE students in producing 新月杂志.

Dr. Fahad Humayun is a communication researcher and educator who earned his PhD in Media Research and Practice from University of Colorado Boulder. His research has been published in prestigious journals such as Digital Journalism and Journalism Practice and he is also a recipient of research awards from 国际 沟通 Association (ICA) and Association for Education in Mass 沟通 and Journalism (AEJMC). He has also taught at multiple universities in past and brings experience of teaching both undergrad and graduate students.

Dr. Humayun is an avid sports fan and as a child he used to stay up all night to watch NBA games on ESPN while living in Pakistan.

In his more than 35 years of university teaching experience he authored and contributed to several texts and numerous scholarly articles. As a Kellogg National Leadership Fellow, Dr. Thomlison studied intercultural communication in multinational corporations, 研究院, and governments throughout the world. He completed post-doctoral training at the Intercultural Training Institute at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
