HSA 506 Health Care Ethics and Jurisprudence (3 credit hours)

HSA 512 Health Service Organizational Behavior (3 credit hours)

Emphasis on motivation, 领导, 改变, 沟通, 个性, 团体动力学, 决策, and organizational development. Stresses the importance of understanding professional roles within health care organizations.

HSA 516 Health Care 信息 Systems (3 credit hours)

Provides an understanding of the 概念 and applications of information systems used in the management of health care systems.

HSA 528 Financial Management of Health Care Organizations (3 credit hours)

Focuses on the acquisition, 分配, and management control of financial resources within health care organizations. Includes cost analysis, financial position analysis and strategies, 报销, 定价政策, 预算, 资本支出, analysis of financial reports, and informal and external controls.

HSA 532 Managed Health Care (3 credit hours)

Examines the changing role of managed care organizations in the health care system. Discusses the history, basic structure of managed care firms, the interrelationships among providers, and their evolving role. Their impact on health care economics discussed in detail.

混合格式

The 9 credit-hour certificate can be completed in one semester. Certificate courses are offered in the fall and spring semesters.

Students will complete their coursework through interactive and engaging hybrid classes. Credits earned may be transferred into the MS in Health Services Administration 或者是 MS in Leadership program.
